Estate planning is a process that is often put in place and ignored, as the process can be overwhelming and costly.

At ONS we recognize that difficult process and offer an alternative. By having an independent estate planner under our roof (but not a staff member) our clients receive estate planning services at no or little charge.

Why? Proper estate planning is actually an ongoing process. It needs to be reviewed and updated regularly as legislation can change more quickly than our clients' own lives.

By bringing together technology and legal expertise our clients' estate plans are kept current with little extra time or cost. After all, as the family CFO, it's our job to simplify our clients' lives, and to ensure continuity of the financial plan.

If clients prefer to work with their existing outside estate attorneys or if advanced estate planning requires us to engage outside counsel we welcome the opportunity. Actually, the process remains the same. Clients can even benefit from using our internal attorney to shorten the learning curve and reduce the outside attorneys' fees.
